Billing and trial
Do I need my own AI account?
Yes. You connect a key from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral, Perplexity or Copilot. Each provider has a pay-as-you-go plan, and the app shows where to get the key in three steps.
What does the AI cost on top?
It depends on how much research you run and which model you pick. The provider bills you directly at its own prices, and the Usage tab shows what each person used. We add nothing on top.
How does the free trial work?
You get 7 days with every feature. We ask for a card when the trial starts and remind you a day before it ends. Cancel before day 7 and you pay nothing.
Can I add more users later?
Yes, at any time. Extra users cost €15 a month on Starter and €12 a month on Team. If you need more than about 8 users, Team is usually cheaper.
What do I get with yearly billing?
Twelve months for the price of eleven. You can switch from monthly to yearly whenever you like.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in the EU, in a workspace that is separate from every other customer. We sign a GDPR Data Processing Agreement with you and never use your data to train AI.
Does Northlead send emails for me?
No. It writes the email and you send it from your own mailbox, so replies come straight to you and your sender reputation stays safe.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, in Billing, with no notice period. Monthly plans stop at the end of the paid month, yearly plans at the end of the paid year. Your data is kept for 30 days in case you come back, and you can export it.
Who handles payments and invoices?
Paddle, our merchant of record. They charge the right VAT for your country and send invoices you can use for your accounts.
